Warm, Sweet, and Buttery: The Timeless Charm of Amish Cinnamon Bread recipe

Ingredients: – 2 cups of all-purpose flour – 1 cup of sugar – 1 teaspoon of baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon of salt – 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon – 1 cup of milk – 1/4 cup of butter, melted – 1 egg

Prepare the Batter: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon) before adding milk, melted butter, and egg. Stir until smooth.

Cinnamon Sugar Mixture: In a separate small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of sugar with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon. This will add the cinnamon swirl effect.

Layering: Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top, then add the remaining batter. Finish by sprinkling the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.

Swirl the Cinnamon: Using a butter knife or skewer, gently swirl the cinnamon sugar mixture into the batter, creating a marbled effect.

Bake: Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and Serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy the warm, sweet, buttery goodness with your favorite beverage!
