Tom Brady Under Fire for Comment During Eagles-Commanders Game
The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders will face off in the NFC Championship Game for the chance to compete in Super Bowl LIX.
The game is being broadcast on Fox Sports, which means that announcers Tom Brady and Kevin Burkhardt will be in the booth.
As has been a common theme in almost every NFL game, there have already been some complaints about officiating, and one example is an incomplete pass intended for Eagles tight end Dallas Geodert in the endzone.
There was some discussion about whether cornerback Marshon Lattimore made too much contact, but in the end, no flag was thrown, which Brady agreed with and even gave an interesting quote on officiating.
“I've always felt this as a player, let the players play,” he said. “Let them go out there, be physical… I don't love seeing the refs factor into too many games.”
Many social media users are now calling him out for what he said.
"Brady says he doesn't like it when referees insert themselves into game, says players should decide things. Tuck rule, Tom? Get this guy off my television," said one comment.
